Sophia Webster was inspired by 'Sex and the City' for her footwear line.
The 31-year-old British luxury shoe designer made her shoe range following an internship with Nicholas Kirkwood and has admitted that the iconic romantic HBO series, which saw Sarah Jessica Parker (Carrie Bradshaw) boast an enviable wardrobe, and her desire to make a collection for "ordinary" women led to her debut collection in 2012.
Speaking to The Daily Telegraph about how she began her career, the mother of one said: "I design for girls like me, from ordinary backgrounds, who had been brought up on the glamour of 'Sex and The City' shoes but were never going to spend £600 on a pair."
Sophia - who attended Camberwell School of Arts and progressed to undertake a Masters at the Royal College of Arts - boasts a long history with prestigious fashion houses, including the Italian fashion house Casadei and admitted she would conceive a new pair of footwear every day whilst studying.
She said: "I started with a 'pre-collection' rather than a 'main' because that's the one retailers have the biggest budgets for."
Meanwhile, the blonde beauty won the British Fashion Council (BFC)/ Vogue Designer Fashion Fund earlier this week held at London's The Shard, which saw her awarded a £200,000 grant and mentoring support to develop her footwear line.
