Selena Gomez' single 'Good For You' helped her land the Louis Vuitton campaign.
The 24-year-old singer songwriter has admitted the designer brand's creative director Nicolas Ghesquière handpicked the brunette beauty to front the advert for the luxury label because he "loved" her 2015 hit, and was "intrigued" by the star.
Speaking about how she landed her recent fashion venture to Vogue, she said: "Actually, he loved my song 'Good for You'.
"That was the real icebreaker."
Nicolas added: "I was immediately intrigued by her spontaneity and curiosity."
However the starlet has revealed she wasn't "always" the designer's "top choice" when they were selecting the celebrities to star in their shows or campaigns.
She explained: "Let's just say I wasn't always the [designers'] top choice."
And Selena has admitted she likes to find "unconventional" garments and try to make them look like classic staple pieces.
Speaking about her personal style, she said: "To find things that are unconventional and make them look classic...because if I'm forcing something, you can just tell."
However, stylist Kate Young - who selected the garments Selena adorned for the Louis Vuitton photo shoot - believes Selena suits all trends because she is able to make any ensemble suit her "demeanour".
Kate explained: "Vuitton especially can be tricky--it's futuristic; it has straps all over it. But Selena's version looks young and cool and less conceptual.
"She makes fashion suit her demeanour."
Meanwhile, Selena has revealed she sleeps in a "sweat bed" for 45 minutes three times per week to help flush out all of the bad toxins in her body.
Speaking previously about the unusual product, she said: "I have a sweat bed. I usually get in it for 45 minutes to an hour, and I just sweat in this space suit looking thing which is really hilarious, and I look disgusting. But it's also so good for you. It's good to get out all the toxins. I did it at least three times a week before I left for tour."
