The 23 year-old singer - who was announced as the ambassador for the hair care brand Pantene PRO-V in June last year - has admitted her brunette tresses play a "crucial part" in her performances and she always performs with her long locks down because she wouldn't know what to do if it was styled another way.
Speaking about her style preferences, the 'Kill 'Em With Kindness' hitmaker' - who is currently on her yearlong 'Revival' world tour, she said: "My hair is such a crucial part of my show. I remember at some point somebody was asking, 'Oh should we pull it up for a section on stage?' And I was like. 'I wouldn't even know what to do if I pulled my hair up.' I love how my hair feels when I'm on stage because of the fans and movement -- it's a part of my routine in a weird way."
And Selena has revealed her stylist Marisso Marino has taught her all she needs to know about hair, which sees the former Disney actress - who starred in 'Wizards of Waverly Place' for almost five years - go without washing her hair every day.
She explained: "Marissa [Marino], my hairstylist, is awesome. I've known Marissa for five years -- she has taught me all the little tiny tricks that are a little obvious and also things that are helpful. Like I actually don't wash my hair every single night and that may sound gross. My hair already goes through so much damage so I won't wash it every night. She likes to use deep conditioners and obviously because I don't wash my hair all the time she uses lighter products so it doesn't go as crazy.
"The Airspray by Pantene is so light and I usually just douse that all over my hair and I'll flip it all around."
