The 20-year-old actress - who plays the role of Alison DiLaurentis in the American drama series 'Pretty Little Liars' - has admitted her character's wardrobe has allowed costume designer Cameron Dale to experiment more with her outfits since she has become a teacher in the show, which is based on the 40-year-old American star's ensembles.
Speaking about the South African beauty's fashion choices, Cameron Dale told PEOPLE: "We have explored some looks this year. Since we know Allison is a teacher we have done just a cute elevated look on what you would find a high school teacher wearing.
"Alison is depending on every script I read.
"For Alison the prints are very feminine, she is very feminine. I wanted to keep Alison feminine ... like a hometown kind of girl. I thought it was cute."
To which the blonde beauty replied: "Like a Reese Witherspoon kind of look."
However, the singer songwriter has revealed she was home schooled when she was younger, and the outfits she adorns for her role in the programme - which made its debut in 2010 - is not what her mother used to wear during their lessons.
Sasha explained: "I was home schooled and my mum definitely didn't wear this."
And Sasha has admitted she has to wear clothes that are practical whilst on-set, because she is frequently running away.
Cameron explained: ""Sasha has a very beautiful face so we button the shirts up to the top to frame her face, which I think is always a cute and hip look. It's always fun to capitalise on that and do a fun necklace.
"The cross-body [bags] are always nice because they are hands-free and trendy."
Sasha added: "I was on the run you know so, it's easy to run [with.] It stays put."
Although Sasha - who won the Choice TV: Scene Stealer gong at the Teen Choice Awards this year for her role in the ABC series - likes her character's "feminine" style, she has confessed it is the complete opposite to her own style.
She said: "I agree, she has got a very feminine soul ... It's so far away from my personal style. But when I am Alison yes I do think it fits her very well."
