How often do you recycle outfits?
Ever felt like you’re wearing the same clothes time and time again? Well, research shows that we are in fact doing that, almost half of British women admit to alternating between the same six outfits every week.
Men favour wardrobe recycling more though, wearing the same four outfits on a weekly basis and even 44% of males admit to wearing the same underpants more than once without washing them.
Women are guilty however of wearing a bra more than once before washing it, followed by tops, leggings, dresses and jeans found the research.
George Charles, spokesperson for VoucherCodesPro.co.uk who conducted the research, said the following:
“Our findings show that whilst Britons invest a lot of money into their wardrobes, only a small part of their clothing collection is potentially being used. It’s no lie that we all look and feel good in certain outfits, so it is understandable that Brits opt to recycle the same outfits and just keep wearing those.
“There are some fantastic offers available on all styles and trends, so I really would urge Brits to take advantage and spice up their wardrobe a bit! There’s nothing wrong with having favourite items, but why not mix it up by incorporating them in with other outfits. Oh, and gents – please bin the dirty underwear or at least wash it!”
