Sadie Frost has launched a lingerie range for teenagers.
The 49-year-old actress-turned-designer has enlisted the help of her daughter, Iris, 13, and 16-year-old Edie, the daughter of Sadie's collaborator Jemima French, to create a collection of underwear for young people, which will be sold in high street chain Debenhams.
The Iris & Edie line already features pyjamas and loungewear, and from next month will also encompass lingerie.
Mother-of-four Sadie - who runs fashion label FrostFrench with Jemima - said of the collection: "Iris and Edie were a strong influence on the collection from the word go and we all had great fun creating sketch books of inspirations,"
However, Roz Hardie, Chief Executive of Object - which campaigns against the objectification of women - has criticised the designer, accusing her of promoting the sexualisation of young people, which was condemned in the 2011 Bailey Review.
She said: "If Debenhams are proposing to sell see-through pants named after an under-16 year-old, then they're not working within the spirit of the Bailey Review recommendations and we'd call on them to review their proposals."
The underwear range, which has been designed in bright colours, has been defended by Debenhams, with a spokesman telling the Daily Mail newspaper: "Iris & Edie by Frost French is aimed at a younger, fashionable customer. The range already comprises sleep and loungewear and now includes a new age-appropriate underwear and lingerie line."
