Roberto Cavalli is hoping to encourage youngsters to take risks.
The Italian designer hopes he can encourage the fashion stars of tomorrow to take risks and pursue their dreams when he addresses the Oxford University Union on November 20.
He explained: "It's a wonderful opportunity to speak with young generations. I want to share my persona, my life and my experiences with them. I love fashion so much. Fashion is a form of art.
"The Renaissance art, the cultural traditions of my hometown Florence and my passion for photography have greatly impacted on my will to portray my inspirations through clothes.
"I want to convey all my optimism to young generations. They should not be afraid to take risks. I want to inspire them and help them in their path to achieve their dreams and desires."
This will mark the second time Roberto has given a talk at the illustrious UK university, following in the footsteps of designers including Calvin Klein and Vivienne Westwood.
The 72-year-old star added: "It is truly an honour to be able to speak at the prestigous Oxford Union once again."
The fashion maven is famed for his wild parties and lavish lifestyle, which he believes go hand-in-hand with his job.
He previously explained: "It's part of my job to be a big actor. My role is to be a designer, yes, but also to be a rock star: that is how people expect to see me."
