Rob Lowe believes "basic" skincare products are the key to having youthful skin.
The 52-year-old actor has admitted he is always asked what beauty products he uses, and has revealed he swears by the "essential" products women have used "forever" including sun cream and moisturiser.
Speaking to the Metro newspaper, the dark-haired hunk said: "Guys ask me all the time, 'Dude, what the f***?'"
"My thing is that it's the basics women have known forever - essentials like sunscreen and moisturiser."
However, the 'The Parks and Recreation' star has revealed his beauty regime is "no big secret", but it is something men don't do.
He explained: "It's no big secret, it's just men don't do it. If you're not going to take care of your skin, then you look like s***."
And Rob, who launched his own men's skincare line in 2015 called Profile, has revealed he launched the cosmetics company because he enjoys "mentoring men".
Rob - who has sons John and Matthew with his wife Sheryl - said: "It's why I built my line Profile For Men because I love mentoring men - it comes from mentoring my boys in to men."
Meanwhile the star has revealed he has "never" been as happy with his body than he is now.
He said: "I've never been happier or felt better physically. I've never felt like my creative chops have been sharper or stronger. There's that saying that it takes 10,000 hours to become a master at a craft - I'm way past that."
And has long admired fellow actors such as the late Paul Newman when he was in his 50s.
He said: "Plus there are certain leading men who I loved at this moment in their lives; Paul Newman in 'Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid' is my favourite."
