Rami Malek loved dressing up as Freddie Mercury in 'Bohemian Rhapsody'.
The 37-year-old actor has taken on his biggest role to date in the upcoming biopic - where he portrays the iconic Queen frontman - and Rami loved channelling his character through his hair, makeup and stage costumes.
In an interview with GQ, he said: "What was lovely about this was we both like dressing up. I very much enjoyed these costume fittings, and in the costume fittings, I would go in hair and makeup because I needed as much rehearsal time as possible.
"I wasn't going in there as Rami, I went in there as Freddie and if I wanted a cup of tea, I ordered a fucking cup of tea.
"I could be a bit more naughty than I was, without getting too irreverent or too scandalous."
The 'Mr. Robot' star especially loved wearing the rock legends toned down outfits that he could wear on a more regular basis.
He said:"That I could always wear, if I think about it in a ubiquitous way, would be in the breakup scene, there's that blue shirt and just the jeans. I have to say [it's] something I think you could get away with all the time."
The American actor has also admitted to picking up the accent and phrases of the British singer long after finishing shooting
He explained: "You know, it's quite lovely ending every second or third sentence with "darling" [or] "dear" and it was hard to lose that towards the end of the day.
"I was on Graham Norton and I think I went into a little bit of a British accent. I referred to my mother as "mum" today in an interview."
