Ralph Rucci has left his eponymous label.
The fashion designer - who launched the company in 1994 under the name Chado Ralph Rucci before shortening the title to just Ralph Rucci last year- has stepped down as creative director to pursue "other creative endeavours".
Ralph - who hired a new CEO for the company this year as it prepared for international expansion - said: "I have great expectations for the future. I can't wait to take the next step, and I wish everyone at the company well."
Ralph Rucci LLC's chief executive officer, Joey Laurenti added to WWD: "We recognise the contribution, vision and talent of Mr Rucci, and wish him well."
Joey also revealed that the company - which is aiming to become more "accessible" and "modern" through global expansion - is looking to hire a new creative director by the end of the year.
The US-born designer isn't the first to lose control of his eponymous luxury label.
Roland Mouret, John Galliano, Alessandro Dell'Acqua, Jil Sander and Danielle Issa have also lost the rights to the brands bearing their own name to other companies in the past.
