Rachel McAdams wore an exclusive August Getty dress to the Oscars which has not yet graced the runway.
The 37-year-old actress walked the red carpet at the 88th Annual Awards Ceremony at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday (28.02.16) in an eye-catching backless emerald green gown that is brand new to the Los Angeles-based designer's forthcoming collection.
The gown is so exclusive it has not yet been exhibited on the runway.
The star's stylists Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn spoke to People about the auburn hair beauty's choice of attire for the night.
They said: "The second she put it on she was like, whoa, this is so amazing, this is the dress."
Despite Rob and Mariel's influence over Rachel's wardrobe, which would have seen her wear the design with a shortened train for the Vanity Fair after-party, Rachel decided otherwise, and her love at first sight saw August re-design the five foot train into an entirely new pleated train especially for the Canadian-born beauty the night before the star-studded event.
Zangardi added: "A lot of the pictures you can't really see, but it's actually pleated in the center and it jets out almost like a triangle at the end. It looks like one train, but it's actually a pleated train within the train. It's so amazing."
The jade silk slip floor length halter-neck dress is set to make an appearance on Saturday (05.03.16) when Fashion Week returns to the French capital.
Rachel's film 'Spotlight' was awarded two prizes at the ceremony; Best Original Screenplay and the prestigious Best Picture accolade.
