Poppy Delevingne wasn't interested in make-up as a young girl.
The 29-year-old British model is known for walking some of the biggest catwalks and posing for some of the biggest fashion campaigns but she insists her interest in beauty didn't peak until "much later".
She said: "As a young teen I was very laid-back and would rather have climbed a tree than painted my nails. My interest in make-up didn't come until much later. Now, though, I love it all.
"A few years ago I was so up for experimenting with skincare, in terms of trying new products and slapping things on and seeing what smelled good, but in the last year I've really simplified my regime. It's consistent now and I think that really shows in my skin."
Meanwhile, Poppy - who is the older sister of model and actress Cara - also offered her beauty advice, admitting it is more important to be confident with your make-up choices than be overly daring.
She added to the Daily Telegraph newspaper: "When it comes to hair and make-up, I don't think you should do anything that's out of your comfort zone, because it's all about confidence. If you have any moment of doubt - 'Is this hair OK? Is this lip too much?' - then it shows instantly in your face and visibly depletes your confidence.
"If you're sure of yourself and know what's working for you - whether you're working or going out or going on a date - you'll shine because you're confident in it. So I think beauty plays a massive role in confidence."
