Olivia Palermo has become "more open" to experimenting with fashion as she has got older.
The 31-year-old television personality - who is known for starring in the popular American show 'The City' alongside Whitney Port - believes a person's style "evolves" as they mature, which is the case for her, as she is more "inspired" to try various trends now than she was when she was younger.
Speaking about her wardrobe choices to Hello! Fashion Monthly magazine, the golden-haired beauty said: "I think it's probably a bit of both. I think when you get older your eye evolves; you see things that you like and your style changes. I am more open to different styles now than when I was younger and am inspired by the people around me every day."
The fashion muse looks to social media, people she meets whilst she is travelling or who she passes on the street for style inspiration.
She explained: "I see so much style throughout my travels and on the street - I like to see how girls put a Zara dress and something else together, and how they style things differently. I also think that Instagram is a great platform for visuals. I can get great inspiration from it, for sure."
Olivia has been a fan of British high street brands for a "many years", and she believes getting the "right balance" between popular and affordable retail brands as well as designer or vintage garments when putting an outfit together is essential.
She explained: "I've definitely been wearing a lot of British high street for many years.
"It's important to mix high street into your wardrobe - and I really do mix it into my everyday life. You should find the right balance and always keep an open mind."
