Olivia Palermo loves experimenting with bold colours in summer.
The 27-year-old model believes the hot months are the best time to play around with different prints and pops of colour, and especially enjoys wearing florals and polka dots.
She said: "It's all about what catches your eye when it comes to different patterns. Play around with mixing big and small prints to see how it works for you, and go from there.
"I love a great floral or polka dot. Summer is a great time to experiment with colour as well, so don't be afraid to go bold."
The style icon says adding a statement accessory is a great way to spruce up a simple outfit because standing out in the crowd is crucial.
Olivia added to People magazine: "Add a statement necklace or earring in a bold colour to make your little black dress stand out. I also love a printed or metallic heel with a great skinny jean or miniskirt."
The brunette beauty claims she can't get through the warm weather without three signature pieces.
She explained: "Smoking flats, a light, flowy dress, and I love a one piece bathing suit. They're so chic!"
