Noémie Lenoir "hated" her curly hair.
The 36-year-old supermodel, who began her career at the age of 17 after she signed with beauty brand L'Oréal in 1997, has admitted she never liked her ringlet locks, although Balmain fashion designers changed her perspective and made her love her assets.
Speaking to Vogue Online about her struggle with beauty, the 'The Transporter Refueled' actress said: "I hated my hair!
"Balmain told me they believed in the curls. And it was fashion that made me like the curls, and to be who I am."
However, the French star - who has worked on a variety of campaigns with luxury fashion houses such as Gucci, Tommy Hilfiger, as well as high street brands Gap and Marks and Spencer for their lingerie range - has revealed she adopts a minimal hair regime to tame her tresses.
The former Victoria's Secrets model explained: "For my hair, less is better. Can you imagine if I put more volume in my hair? You look like a trapeze!"
Meanwhile, the brunette beauty - who was found unconscious in 2010 after a suspected suicide attempt - has teased she may make a return to the fashion industry.
She said: "Everything comes back all the time. Naomi [Campbell] is back, and Claudia, and Cindy, so I thought, Why not maybe me?"
