Nick Grimshaw has been appointed as the latest celebrity ambassador for London Collections: Men.
The radio DJ has landed his first official fashion role, joining male model David Gandy, TV presenter Dermot O'Leary and rapper Tinie Tempah in their work with the menswear committee which aims to celebrate British designers and support LC: M events.
The star's appointment by the British Fashion Council is expected to capitalize on the popularity of the men's fashion week, now in its second year.
Nick will sit on the committee alongside fellow newcomers including Selfridges creative director Alannah Weston, The Independent's fashion editor Alexander Fury, Esquire's fashion director Catherine Hayward, model Robert Konjic and the Financial Times' Gillian de Bono.
Dylan Jones, LC: M's chair, said: "We are thrilled that Nick Grimshaw has become an ambassador for London Collections: Men, as his innate style, his enormous influence, and his enthusiasm for British fashion make him a perfect choice.
"We are also delighted that Alannah, Catherine, Alexander and Gillian have all agreed to become committee members. The support of our industry has been crucial to the development and success of London Collections: Men."
Style icon Nick has become a front row regular at London Fashion Week and recently presented Channel 4 search 'Style the Nation', a nationwide competition for budding stylists.
