Naomi Campbell's Fashion For Relief show will be like a "big party backstage ".
The 44-year-old model - who will open London Fashion Week with a collection in aid of the Ebola crisis on Thursday (19.02.15) - insists the production will have a more fun, upbeat vibe than traditional catwalk shows.
The raven-haired beauty - who will take to the runway alongside a host of her fashionista friends including Kate Moss, Diane von Furstenberg, Margherita Missoni and Daphne Guinness in designs donated by Dolce & Gabbana, Givenchy, Alexander McQueen, Marchesa , Azzedine Alaia, Stella McCartney, Vivienne Westwood, Balmain and Versace - said: "Everyone is there because they want to be there. So everyone shows up on time and backstage there's a really good vibe. It's a lot of fun, it's a big party backstage because people haven't seen each other for a while, you know it's just a good energy."
Naomi - who has a home at the heart of the outbreak in Kenya - hopes the star-studded event, which will be held at Somerset House at 8pm, will encourage the public to take action in fighting the crisis.
She told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: "It's not about me. Fashion for relief might be something I thought about but it's something that everyone can jump in and do their part and give their time."
The show will come just days after the supermodel hosted her NYFW Fashion For Relief show at the Lincoln Centre on Saturday (14.02.15).
The star sashayed her way down the catwalk in front of a host of celebrity guests including Rosario Dawson, Mary J. Blige, Kelly Osbourne, Paris Hilton, Tyson Beckford, Quincy, Justin Bieber, Vivica A. Fox, Frankie Grande, Estelle, Russell Simmons and Michelle Rodriguez
Michelle, 36, said of her efforts to support the cause: "I'm glad someone's paying attention. She's got a lot of love for Africa. I think that's really sweet. It's beautiful. You never expect somebody who seems so vain to be so sweet."
