Mary Portas' latest collection with Clarks is being launched alongside an exclusive London Fashion Week event.
Excitement is momentously building for LFW, and with great designers like Mary showcasing their latest collections it's not hard to see why.
The SS12 collection infuses classic styles with the key colours of the season. The wedge, the essential sandal, the Mary Jane and the party shoe all boast an array of must-have features including on trend mirrored heels, colour pops in neon lime, textured snake prints and wearable natural shades to create a well rounded collection.
Mary says: "The most important thing we have tried to do is create a modern shoe collection for every part of a modern woman’s life today. Life is not about teetering about painfully on top of a pair of heels – we’ve got the kids to run after and work to get on with.
"This collection is about being able to look fashionable and fabulous while getting through the daily grind. From efficient and sexy office shoes, and glamorous evening heels, to cool and funky everyday footwear – these shoes are on-trend and gorgeous, all with a bit of the ‘Mary’ edge."
To celebrate the launch and of course London Fashion Week Mary Portas will be holding a party at Clarks, Oxford Street on February 21 where shoppers can come along for free and meet her, get some style tips and try on the collection.
The event is completely free and all shoppers will get to sip a bespoke ‘Bloody Mary’ cocktail with Mary as well as receiving a free pair of shoes from the collection or at least 20 per cent of to spend in store from a Mary Lucky Dip.
Designed for women, not girls, the collection is the result of an ongoing collaboration between Mary Portas and Clarks which has seen a panel of fashion editors, buyers and real women hone each detail of the range to make it perfect for every aspect of a busy woman’s lifestyle. The result? A wedge you can walk in and heels you can run for the bus in, but overall the perfect shoe for women who are afraid of heels and the discomfort that is often associated with them. Mary says: "I defy anyone to say they can find a more comfortable three inch heel than mine."
Packaged in their own specially designed luxury shoe box, the range of 27 across 10 styles will be exclusively available in 20 Clarks stores nationwide and online at clarks.co.uk
