Marc Jacobs isn't a fan of online shopping.
The American designer says he gains "pleasure" from the traditional form of shopping and thinks the feeling gets lost with the modern convenience of e-commerce stores.
He told Vogue: "The idea of actually enjoying shopping for clothes, to touch fabrics to try things on, to have a conversation with a sales person...
"All of that to me it feels like it's becoming archaic when I hear people saying, 'Oh I'd rather order it online, who wants to stand in-line at a store?' 'Who wants to spend their Saturday going shopping?' "
The 50-year-old designer's comments come during the latest episode of online series 'Vogue Voices' released on Thursday (22.08.13).
Jacobs continued: "I've always found as much pleasure going to the supermarket and choosing food as I have going to choose the same white shirt I always buy.
"I do like the ritual and I do like the social interaction of those things."
'Vogue Voices' has seen prestigious designers such as Alexander Wang and Lanvin's Alber Elbaz share their opinions on the fashion industry.
