London Fashion Week begins tomorrow and for those of us who are not fortunate enough to be sitting front row, we're going to have to find other ways to keep up with all of the action.
Thanks to social media, it's never been easier.
Live streams, instant updates and photographs to match are just a few clicks away and thanks to Facebook we have eight tips on how you can stay in the know over the coming week:
1. Keep up to date with the British Fashion Council’s official Facebook page that will include up to the minute news, photos and videos, as the action happens.
2. With only the lucky few amongst us able to experience the shows in person, Like your favourite designers to get the first peek at the latest collections, as they hit the catwalks. Burberry, Vivienne Westwood, Mulberry and Alexander McQueen have a combined Facebook following of over 11.5 million fans and will all be sharing the latest behind the scenes gossip on Facebook before photos are seen anywhere else meaning more people than ever will be able to experience the action!
3. Make sure you’re on trend by following the progress of the up and coming designers that Topshop is showcasing. The shows of Louise Gray, Nasir Mazhar, Peter Pilotto, Michael Van Der Ham, Fashion East, Mary Katrantzou and Meadham Kirchhoff will all be screened live via Facebook.
4. Try out new Timeline app lyst, where you can follow designers and high street stores alike and create your own collections to share on Facebook. Or try out Pinterest and create a mood board whilst sharing your favourite trends of the season.
5. Keep an eye on what competitions pop up over the week and you could be in with a chance of winning anything from tickets to the Vodafone VIP viewing platform and a Mulberry tote bag with Vodafone, to tickets to London Fashion Weekend with Toni & Guy
6. Subscribe to models like Coco Rocha to get first-hand model tips, like how to make the most of your Facebook cover photo.
7. Make sure you Like the top fashion bloggers like Susie Lau of Style Bubble and Emily Johnston of Fashion Foie Gras to get the latest gossip from the shows.
8. Can London compete with New York, Paris or Milan? Fashion sites such as ASOS posted 60 minute updates and interviews with their designers at New York Fashion Week so keep an eye on their updates from London to see how we fare this side of the pond.
