Kim Kardashian West is "mortified" by the outfits she used to wear.
The 34-year-old reality TV star believes her husband Kanye West, 38, whom she married in 2014, saved her when it comes to sense of style because he bought her the former editor-in-chief of Vogue Paris Carine Roitfeld's fashion book.
Speaking to CNN Style, she said: "Back in the day, I thought I had the best style ... I look back at outfits and I'm mortified. I remember one day, he [Kanye] bought me Carine Roitfeld's book and was like, 'You should be studying this book, this is the fashion bible.' I was like, 'Who's Carine?' I knew nothing, and he said, 'Watch, one day she's going to style you.' "
The 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians' star also thinks she owes a lot to Givenchy creative director Riccardo Tisci as he was the first well-known designer to give her a front row seat at fashion shows and dress her for major events.
She said: "Riccardo is the first designer that took a chance on me. I'm so grateful he saw a vision and was willing to dress me, because no other designers were at that time."
Tisci, who custom-designed Kim's stunning wedding gown in 2014, previously said he didn't "care" what people thought of him dressing the star as they were "friends."
He said at the time: "I didn't care what people thought about Kim. In the beginning, I met her because of my respect for Kanye, and then I liked her a lot and we became friends. I got killed because of this. But I didn't care."
