Kate Bosworth was overcome with emotion when she first laid eyes on her one-of-a-kind wedding dress, created by the amazing Oscar de la Renta.
The actress, who married film maker Michael Polish on August 31, says having such an iconic designer create her wedding dress was "profound".
She recalled in an interview with Lucky magazine: "He's just seen it all, and the fact that I'll be able to share my most important moment to date with him is profound.
"I couldn't control my reaction to sitting with him and talking with him about my wedding dress. I was trying not to cry, so I probably had this bizarre twisted face on."
Kate chose to keep things classic with the simple yet elegant ivory design, featuring a 8-foot-long, 16-foot-wide train.
While the 30-year-old star didn't have time to indulge in many beauty treatments to look her best before her big day, she took care of her skin at home with the help of SK-II's "bridal transformation" package, which features masks and creams to revitalise the complexion.
She joked: "All my girlfriends take photos and send them to each other because the mask is quite ... comedic when it's on. It's sort of a luxurious, cotton take on the Hannibal Lecter mask."
