Kate Bosworth was surprised by the success of her new shoe line.
The 'Still Alice' star has confessed she was shocked when items from the 10-piece footwear collection began to fly off the shelves with some styles selling out in just a few hours.
She told WWD of her debut collection, which she launched at Nordstrom in Los Angeles this week: "You hope people respond to it. But I didn't have any expectations of it being that quick."
The blonde beauty's capsule collection - which she designed in collaboration with Matisse Footwear - features a range of star-encrusted boots to sporty flatform sandals.
Kate - who sported the $379 'Dawn' shoe during the launch - added she loves trying out different fashion trends in her footwear as it isn't as nerve-wracking as going for a top-to-toe look.
She explained: "Sometimes I think people get a little nervous about wearing a full trend. But if you want to accessorise with a trend, I think it's a little more palatable. If you were to wear the Kelly in the fawn suede, it gives a little bit of a Seventies flair for summer."
Kate previously shared the inspiration behind the line and admitted she was keen to create a "transitional" collection that could take the wearer from day to night.
She said: "I have always been attracted to fashion that is transitional wear, meaning, designs that carry a woman from season to season, from day to night.
"That was a significant part of the thought process for this collection. I wanted to think about footwear that is directional and also comfortable. I like my shoes to have a bit of personality."
The range is available to buy from Nordstrom, Bloomingdale's, Macy's, Revolveclothing.com and Singer22.com.
