Kanye West will design a new menswear collection.
French brand APC confirmed their collaboration with the 'Yeezus' rapper via Instagram on Sunday (07.07.13), following reports by W Magazine last month that the rapper's new men's capsule collection would feature "jeans, T-shirts, and hoodies,".
Posting a picture of blue denim with a red tag that reads "A.P.C. Kanye", the fashion label revealed the line would go on sale later this month.
The caption read: "A.P.C. KANYE CAPSULE COLLECTION, JULY 14. #apc #kanyewest (sic)".
Whilst there are as yet no details about what the clothes will look like, it seems a wise move to team up with an establish brand after Kanye's own 2011 debut womenswear collection was widely panned by critics.
The 36-year-old rapper is seemingly going for a safer approach to his new clothing range after revealing to W magazine last month that his debut collection "didn't work".
He said: "[Established designers are] in a position to go crazy. I tried to come out of the gate going crazy and it didn't work. So now I have to somehow put out something that says, 'I look sensible!'â "
