John Galliano is reportedly assembling his dream team to join him at Maison Martin Margiela.
The 53-year-old fashion designer was announced as the new creative director of the luxury French label earlier this month and he's now said to be pursuing a number of his former colleagues in a bid to have them join him.
John - who was fired from Dior in 2011 for making racist slurs outside of a Parisian café - is said to be in discussions with the brands muse and confidant Vanessa Bellanger, Alexandre Roux, former Roberto Cavalli employee Jean-Yves Mustiere and Galliano's former studio manager Rafaele Hardy.
However, with Margiela favouring anonymity, there have been no official announcements as of yet.
Asked to comment on the names linked to Galliano's arrival, the fashion house told WWD that Margiela "still considers itself a collective under the guidance of a creative director".
The spokesperson added that the design team under Galliano would feature a mix of current employees and new members.
Galliano was offered a three-week residency at good friend Oscar de la Renta's studio in 2013 to work on the autumn/winter 2013 collection and was set to accept a full time job.
However, reports at the time suggested the move never went ahead because he was unable to bring the team he needed with him.
