Jessica Simpson was inspired to create her own maternity fashion line because she didn't feel "comfortable" in other maternity clothes while pregnant with her first child.
The singer-and-fashion designer - who has two children, Maxwell, 15 months, and two-month-old Ace, with fiancé Eric Johnson - was inspired to create her own line of clothing for pregnant women because she struggled to find outfits she could feel good in while expecting her daughter.
She said: "When I was pregnant with Maxwell I was having trouble finding maternity clothes that were comfortable and cute. So my mum and I decided to do a line of affordable maternity clothes that women would love to wear. I wore it all through my second pregnancy."
The 33-year-old star also has a regular women's fashion line - The Jessica Simpson Collection - but while it bears her name, Jessica admits the endeavour is a family effort, with her sister Ashlee, 28, recently modelling her designs.
She added to the new issue of UK HELLO! magazine: "Ashlee starred in the campaign when I was pregnant. It was fun for me to be behind the camera. I love working with my family. I feel so lucky to be able to do what I love alongside them with the collection."
