Jessica Alba believes businesswomen have to be fearless.
The 34-year-old actress - who co-founded The Honest Company, her eco-friendly health and lifestyle brand, along with Christopher Gavigan in 2011 - is insistent that success comes from having the confidence to throw yourself into projects.
Speaking to People magazine about advice for upcoming entrepreneurs, the 'Fantastic Four' star said: "[They] have to surround themselves with people who have done it before. They cannot be afraid to ask questions.
"I think really understanding the marketplace you're going into and being smart about how you're going to be different, because there is no point in launching a 'me too' brand. And go for it. Just go for it! What do you have to lose?"
The brunette beauty who has built up a billion dollar business knew what she wanted to achieve with her ever expanding company.
Alba - who has daughters Honor, seven, and Haven, four, with husband Cash Warren - said: "I wanted high performance, I wanted safe ingredients, I wanted beautiful design and I wanted it to be accessibly priced."
