Jerry Hall is urging us to Give Up Clothes for Good and help raise valuable funds for the treatment and cure of childhood cancers.

The supermodel and actress has teamed up Cancer Research UK and TK Maxx to launch Give Up Clothes for Good,  the UK’s largest and longest running charity clothing collection partnership raising valuable funds for the treatment and cure of childhood cancers.

Since 2004, the partnership has raised £13.5 million for Cancer Research UK, with over £9m for research into children’s cancers.

“I am absolutely honoured to be part of Give Up Clothes for Good. More children than ever are now surviving cancer thanks to the work of Cancer Research UK but it is still the leading cause of death in children. So please support Give Up Clothes for Good and drop off a bag of clothing at your local TK Maxx store. Remember, you can now donate all year round,” said Jerry Hall.

TK Maxx is the biggest corporate supporter of research into children's cancers in the UK, where around 1,600 children are diagnosed with cancer each year.

This is the first time the campaign will run all year round, giving people the opportunity to drop off their unwanted clothing and accessories in the special boxes provided in TK Maxx stores nationwide.  Each bag could be worth up to £30 for Cancer Research UK.

Donation bags will be available in store from mid-February but any bag will do.  The clothes donated will be sold in Cancer Research UK shops with all the money raised going to help fund research into childhood cancers.

As part of the campaign Jerry Hall was photographed by world famous photographer, Jason Bell, a long term supporter of Give Up Clothes for Good since the campaign first launched in 2004.

Cancer Research UK is the leading UK charity supporting clinical trials for children and young adults with cancer.  Many of the 33,000 long-term survivors of children's cancer owe their lives to Cancer Research UK's doctors and scientists.

Jools Tait, Director of Corporate Partnerships at Cancer Research UK, said: “In the 1960s, only around one in four children with cancer were cured. Today that figure is, three in four thanks to research. With your help we hope to make it four in four.  All the money raised from Give Up Clothes for Good will help fund valuable research into children’s cancers so please drop off your unwanted clothing, accessories and quality homeware to your local TK Maxx store and help us to beat children’s cancers sooner.”

Jerry Hall is once again supporting TK Maxx and Cancer Research UK's Give Up Clothes For Good campaign. For more information about how you can donate to the campaign, please visit www.tkmaxx.com.
