Jenny Packham thinks women make more "considerate" designers.
The British star believes female designers are more conscious of making clothes to flatter he female body, whereas their male counterparts are more focused on the drama of creating show-stopping pieces.
She said: "Though the guys add a lot of excitement to fashion, creatively they often see it in a more sculptural way. When I'm designing I'm thinking about what it would be like to wear that piece.
"There are wonderful male designers but it can sometimes become more about the dress than the person wearing it."
The designer - who has dressed the likes of Beyonce, Adele and Taylor Swift - believes her designs are so popular with A-list stars because they are built to enhance the female form.
Jenny explained: "Our silhouettes are quite classic and the fit is very flattering. I just try to create something beautiful that complements the wearer."
The couture queen says dressing stars for high-profile events has given her some vital tips about how to look your best on camera.
She added in an interview with Britain's InStyle magazine: "I have learned a lot from just watching celebrities I've dressed on the red carpet. When I go to any sort of big event I'll rush in as quickly as possible, but these women look so confident.
"They're knowledgeable about how they look from every angle."
