J.Crew has opened its first UK store in London.
The iconic American retailer welcomed British shoppers through its threshold at 165 Regent Street today (08.11.13), marking the company's first flagship store location outside of America.
The store spans over 17,000 sq ft and provides an extensive range of women's and menswear along with Crewcuts, which is the brand's range of children clothing.
Speaking about the decision to launch a store in London, Millard Drexler - Chairman and Chief Executive of J.Crew Group, Inc. - said: "London was an easy decision. It is a place where people understand and respect the integrity of great style and design. If I weren't a native New Yorker, a city I know and love, London is where I would want to call home."
J.Crew is best known for its knitwear so the women's range features Italian cashmere in addition to accessories , shoes and a handbag salon.
Many of the brands partnering designers will be included in the store, such as hats by Patricia Underwood and boots by Penelope Chilvers.
Fans of the brand will also be able to shop in the small women's collection boutique which has opened in Brompton Cross.
The company opened a men's store last month on Lamb's Conduit Street, and J.Crew has confirmed that they hope to find two or three more locations in London for future stores.
