Heidi Klum says lingerie is vital now she is older.
The 42-year-old supermodel - who landed her first modelling contract after winning the 'Model 92' contest in 1992 in Germany - has admitted that underwear has become much more "important" to her wardrobe since she hit 30 and had four children; sons Henry, 10, and Johan, nine, with ex-husband Seal, and daughters, Leni, 11, and Lou, six.
Speaking to Vogue magazine the blonde beauty said: "With lingerie the older you get the more important it becomes. In your twenties you don't even really need to wear a bra, because everything is standing by itself, but later - and after four kids - lingerie becomes more important than before.
"Does it matter that you're a little bit more wrinkly or have aged?"
However, the 'America's Got Talent' judge - who was the first German model to become a Victoria's Secret Angel - is not negative about ageing and still confidently flaunts a taught slender frame as she continues to model her lingerie brand Heidi Klum Intimates, which she doesn't intend to stop doing anytime soon.
She explained: "I feel very fortunate every year that I get to be older. I don't think that getting older is a negative thing either.
When asked if she will hand over the reins of her Heidi Klum Intimates to see another figure lead the campaigns, she said: "I think, when the time comes, I probably will say, 'Maybe someone else can shoot it this time,' but at the moment it's still a lot of fun."
Heidi is set to expand on her collection later this year with an additional swimwear range.
