Gwyneth Paltrow's lifestyle blog Goop is to launch a new range of clothing and beauty products, despite debts of more than £1 million.
The 42-year-old actress begun the blog to encourage more people to live a "whole and healed life" and in spite of its flagging fortunes, has decided the website should launch its own range of clothing and beauty products.
The 'Iron Man' star has hired American lawyer Lisa Gersh to help repair the brand's tarnished image following years of negative publicity, with Lisa telling The Sunday Times newspaper: "The good stuff, the lifestyle advice and the travel tips, will still be there. But we will be selling our own Goop brand of clothing and beauty products online.
"This is a chance to develop a massive new type of e-commerce company that was just not possible when I started out in the 1990s."
Critics of the Gwyneth's site have mocked her tendency to promote items that are beyond the financial reach of most people, such as £46 homemade fishfingers and a £15,000-a-week holiday in her favourite French chateau.
Last month, Gwyneth came in for criticism from US TV personality Martha Stewart, who said: "She's a movie star. If she were confident in her acting, she wouldn't be trying to be Martha Stewart."
