Gigi Hadid texted Kendall Jenner as soon as she woke up on the morning of the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.

The 20-year-old model has admitted she reached out to her close pal and fellow angel yesterday morning (11.11.15) because she was hoping she would be able to calm her nerves ahead of their debut at the show.

Speaking to Vogue magazine, she said: "Kendall and I have both been dreaming about this our whole lives, so to be able to do it for the first time together is amazing. It's just so nice that someone I know so well is feeling all the same things and was also nervous, and also scared, and also excited.

"She was the first person I text this morning, just like, 'Good morning, are you as nervous as I am?' It's been nice."

And it wasn't just Kendall, 20, who was helping her through the big gig, as experienced angels Lily Aldridge and Behati Prinsloo were also offloading their advice.

She explained: "Everyone has been so lovely. Lily and Behati, who are such pros, have been so welcoming and they really act like big sisters to us. I'm just enjoying it all."

Meanwhile, this year's fashion show at the Lexington Avenue Armory in New York proved a huge success after Behati - who walked first in 2014 - again opened the annual event, followed by long-time angel Alessandra Ambrosio and Candice Swanepoel.

Themes for the show included snow queens, butterflies, fireworks and carnival, with the finale set to a backdrop of snow and white Christmas trees.

Musical performers this year were Selena Gomez, The Weeknd, and Ellie Goulding.

The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show will air on CBS on Tuesday, December 8.
