Emma Watson doesn't want to be considered a "fashionista".
When the 23-year-old actress started hitting the headlines for her sophisticated style and modelling jobs rather than her acting roles, she decided to make a change and step back from her fashion projects.
Emma said of her turning point: "I took a very conscious step back. I think people were getting confused. They seemed to think that I was a fashionista or that fashion was my main thing, and I didn't want that once I figured out I really did want to act."
The star - who is the face of luxury brand Lancôme - has previously fronted Burberry ad campaigns, worked on a clothing collaboration with British fair-trade label, People Tree, and created a capsule collection for Alberta Ferretti.
Nevertheless, the British beauty still likes to get dressed up and show off her style on the red carpet, although she often feels nervous in the run-up to the event and prefers to bring her friends along for moral support.
Emma confessed in an interview with Teen Vogue magazine: "Every now and again, I feel a bit wobbly before hitting a red carpet. So it's always nice to bring friends, especially because I love to see their reactions!"
While the petite starlet - who recently claimed to only own eight pairs of shoes - has a designer wardrobe to die for, with favourites including Chanel and Christopher Kane, she also likes to mix it up with more affordable purchases and regularly visits Topshop and Canadian boutique Aritzia for inspiration.
