Emma Bridgewater has put her design talents into a stylish new jute bag to help raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care’s Great Daffodil Appeal.
The bag is perfect for spring with a floral twist added to an old favourite, the bags feature the iconic Marie Curie daffodil interspersed between Emma Bridgewater's classic polka dot print; a perfect amalgamation of the two.
There will be 200,000 bags available on sale at Tesco, priced at £3 each, with 50 pence going directly to Marie Curie Cancer Care and are expecting to raise £100,000 for the cause.
Emma Bridgewater commented: "Marie Curie is a brilliant & hugely admirable charity, so I was thrilled when this opportunity arose. I'm so pleased to be able to use my own designs alongside the Daffodil and would like to think that the bright and cheerful bags will help keep the charity at the forefront of people's minds."
The funds from the appeal will help Marie Curie nurses provide more free hands-on care to people with terminal illnesses in their own homes or one of the charity's nine hospices.
Head of Buying, Julie Reynolds-Smith said “We are delighted to have teamed up with such an iconic brand and for such a great charity. Not only will shoppers be supporting a worthy cause but the gorgeous limited edition bag is the must have accessory this season and will bring instant cheer to ring in springtime.”
The limited edition jute bag will be available to buy instore from the 10th March.
