Donna Karan has spread her fashion wings once more and has launched a new capsule collection.
The 62-year-old fashion designer has created the 40-piece collection entitled 'The Journey' to be sold exclusively in her Urban Zen stores in New York, reports WWD.
Behind the new range of garments is Donna's 'buy-now, wear-now' philosophy which provides buyers with cross-seasonal pieces.
The collection's colour palette ranges form tan, bronze, sand and eggshell to indigo and black, with many of the fabrics hand-dyed by artisan dyers to achieve a sun-kissed look.
Donna explained: "When a woman walks into a store, she wants to be inspired.
"She shops for things she can wear here, today -- yet also knows she can wear it into the next season. Especially midsummer. She knows she can't live at the beach. But she can take that spirit with her when she heads back to the city and into fall.
"Everything goes back to black, whatever the piece."
The collection - which retails at around $595 to $995 for tops up to $1,095 to $2,695 for jackets - includes a new signature wrap dress, edged in linen, which can be worn in one of three ways.
It also features one of a kind sari tops and dresses from fabric Donna hand-picked in India.
The full collection is available from the Sag Harbour store in east New York with a small number of pieces also available for the New York City store.
