David Gandy used to steal his ex-girlfriend's moisturiser.
The 36-year-old model - who ended his on-off relationship with singer Mollie King earlier this year - has admitted he would secretly apply the expensive skin care products his former dates owned without telling them.
Speaking about his beauty regime to InStyle.co.uk, the dark haired hunk said: "So many of my female friends complain about their boyfriends stealing their moisturisers, and I'm always like, 'Oh I totally do that'. You steal a tiny bit and then you realise this little pot is about £400 so you're like ok maybe I won't be using that again."
However David - who is the current face of the luxury fashion label Dolce and Gabbana - has revealed men care less about the products they use, although he follows a strict skincare routine.
He explained: "But men are so useless, they're happy with a crappy moisturiser.
"Really they need to be using a serum but I don't think anyone's told them that! I have three steps, a scrub, a serum and a moisturiser and the serum's is the most important. I'm basically obsessed with SK2 products."
And David has to include a regular spray tan in his pampering session because he thinks he looks "better" when he boasts sun kissed skin.
He said: "I certainly look better with a tan - it's nice when you go away you've got this lovely glow like you've just come off the beach. Well when you're doing a photoshoot and you've got to go from British Winter skin to looking like this Mediterranean guy in a day you need a spray tan!"
Meanwhile the Essex-born star - who strips down to flaunt his uber toned body for underwear campaigns for Marks and Spencer - has to train five days a week to prepare for swimwear shoots.
He said: "I'm a gym guy so I normally workout 3 or 4 times a week. If I'm training for something I'll up it to five times a week and increase my protein intake."
