David Beckham left his wife Victoria Beckham's company to concentrate on his own brand.
The retired soccer superstar made the decision resigned from his role as a director of Victoria Beckham Limited in December 2014 after six years to focus on DB Ventures Limited leaving the former Spice Girls singer and CEO Robert Dodds to lead the company.
On that date the company's "entire issued share capital was transferred to" Victoria Beckham Limited parent company Beckham Brand Holdings, Ltd. and reissued with the profits - which totalled £1,232,791 ($1,743,130) - being split equally between the trio, with a third going to Victoria, another third to David and the final third to Robert.
Filed legal documents obtained by RadarOnline.com, read: "Beckham Brand Holdings Limited is the ultimate parent company of both Victoria Beckham and DB Ventures Limited. This is controlled equally by Victoria Beckham, David Beckham and XIX Management UK Limited.
"Contracts held by the company related to the David Beckham brand were transferred during the year to DB Ventures Limited, a sister company ... focused on exploiting the David Beckham brand."
A spokesperson for the couple said the reason behind the divide was "corporate restructuring of their individual companies".
