Damien Hirst will collaborate with Alexander McQueen to celebrate a decade of the brand's famous skull-print scarf.
The British artist will create 30 designs based on the iconic piece to honour its tenth year on sale, and he will combine the original motif with his own 'Entomology' series of colourful insects to create kaleidoscopic artwork.
It is said he was chosen because his "interest in symmetrical design is combined with strong references to the natural world".
According to WWD, pricing for the scarves will start at £315 and the pieces will go on sale from November at Alexander McQueen boutiques, as well as the brand's official website.
It is also noted the accessories will be made available in chiffon, pongé, twill and cashmere material.
The artist is no stranger to fashion collaborations, however, having previously joined forces with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen for their fashion line, The Row, for US online retailer Just One Eye.
Damien has also worked on his own skull-themed projects, including his 2007 art piece 'For the Love of God', which featured a platinum cast of a human skull encrusted with 8,601 diamonds.
