Christopher Kane has been nominated for the Fashion Group International's fashion prize.
The 30-year-old designer is up against Angela Missoni and Alexander Wang at the Night of Stars awards ceremony which will take place on October 22 in New York City.
WWD.com reports others who will be recognised at the ceremony include former editor-in-chief of Vogue Paris, Carine Roitfeld, who will receive the media award, while the creative director of Swarovski Nadja Swarovski will be given the brand vision accolade.
Chief Executive Officer for Bare Escentuals, Leslie Blodgett, who helps the brand maintain their reputation as leader in mineral make-up, will be honoured in beauty.
Vogue Italia editor Franca Sozzani and Fashion 4 Development founder Evie Evangelou will be honoured with the humanitarian prize, and Coach's Lew Frankfort with the leadership award. Meanwhile, Marc Jacobs and Robert Duffy will be given the Superstar honour.
Christopher Kane recently teamed with luxury conglomerate PPR who acquired 51 per cent of the label, which was originally founded in 2006 by the Scottish designer and his sister, Tammy, to help them build a global brand.
Christopher previously said: "We are very excited and honoured to be partnering with PPR for the next stage of development for our brand.
