Charlie Hunnam stars in the new campaign for Calvin Klein’s men’s fragrance, Reveal.
The actor stars in the campaign for Reveal Men which is the counterpart to the recently released women’s fragrance, REVEAL Calvin Klein, which launched in July 2014 and also features a campaign starring Hunnam and Doutzen Kroes.
The men’s fragrance is describes as having notes of pear brandy, crystallised ginger and golden amber, and is set to be released next February.
The 34-year-old actor admitted he loved the "luxury and glamour" of the shoot which was a world away from filming a movie in some less than welcoming locations.
He told WWD: "Everyone always thinks the film business is so glamorous, and it really isn't at all. Most of the time I'm up at 5 am working outside in the beating sun from sunrise to sunset in some dusty hell of a location.
"I mean, I love the business, but it's not at all glamorous. The fashion world - and fragrance [world] - is all about capturing the idea of aspirational living, the most extreme luxury and glamour that life has to offer, and Calvin Klein created that feeling with this shoot."
The REVEAL Men Calvin Klein print advertising campaign continues the voyeuristic game begun in the women’s creative, and was again shot by renowned photographers Mert Alas + Marcus Piggott who collaborated with creative director Doug Lloyd of Lloyd & Co. The print campaign features Mr. Hunnam and Ms. Kroes in a heated embrace through the window of a modern high-rise apartment. As the sun sets behind a dusky skyline, the city is reflected in the window, suggesting a voyeuristic glimpse at a sexy game of seduction and desire.
