Carrie Underwood can't tie her hair into a ponytail.
The 33-year-old country pop singer - who first flaunted her bob in December last year at the Grand Ole Opry folk-music stage concert in Nashville, Tennessee, - has revealed her golden locks are too short to style and she can "barely" pin her hair up into a simple up-do.
Speaking to the American television channel CMT about her beauty struggle, the 'Storyteller' hitmaker said: "I needed my life to be a little more simple. It was taking too long to do things that shouldn't take long. It keeps getting shorter!
"I can barely pull it back in a ponytail now."
And the mother of one - who has one-year-old son Isaiah with her husband Mike Fisher - has admitted she made the decision to hack off her long tresses to reduce the time spent on her daily beauty routine and to make more time to play with her child.
The 'American Idol' champion - who won the talent show in 2005 - explained: "It's just easier to fix in the morning. I found myself blow-drying my long hair trying to make it look decent while Isaiah is like, 'Pick me up and play with me,' and I would rather be doing that.
"I was just like, 'Enough, no more extensions.' It was a mess. It was enough. This is better. This is me."
Speaking previously about her decision to make chop her hair, she said: "I could spend half an hour to blow it dry and have it be super long, or I could spend that time playing with my son, and I'd much rather do the latter."
However, the blonde beauty has admitted her busy work schedule takes its toll on her hair.
Speaking previously she explained: "I wash my hair every day and I know that's not great for it, but I work out and I sweat a lot so I need to, and I'm on stage and I sweat even more."
