Dressing up helped Brie Larson tackle her red carpet nerves.
The '21 Jump Street' star has confessed she used to find public appearances stressful until she learnt that choosing the right outfit could give her more confidence on the red carpet.
She explained: "I used to get so nervous about walking red carpets.
"The photographers yell at you, and you can't see anything!
"In my day-to-day life I'm not really one to get dressed up or put on makeup, so I'm finding that it's such a fun time to play dress up.
"I'm learning that the power of the right outfit can totally change your perception and confidence level."
The brunette beauty opts for more conservative fashion choices and makes sure she steers clear of revealing gowns as they make her feel "vulnerable".
She said: "I don't like wearing things that make me feel too exposed or vulnerable.
"I tend to go for things that feel heavier and are like armour."
The 25-year-old actress also gushed over her favourite designers.
She told InStyle magazine: "I really love Prada and I really love Louis Vuitton. I think their stuff is really smart and textured and well made. Those are the [designers] I have been wearing recently."
