Boy George's BRIT Awards selfie
Boy George says he's a "fashion victim".
The 52-year-old singer stepped out on the red carpet at the BRIT Awards on Wednesday (19.02.14), which were hosted at London's O2 Arena, with bruise-like make-up over his left eye.
Explaining his choice of style, he told British Vogue magazine: "I'm a fashion victim."
The star posted an image of himself on his Twitter page before he ceremony, and added the message: "Rockin!"
George - real name George Alan O'Dowd - attached the selfie which appears to have been taken from his lap, and it showed him wearing a black lather jacket and pulling a pout, while he displayed the red bruising.
George joked about the number of Americans who were honoured at the ceremony which is known for honouring the best of the British musicians.
Recalling the night, he tweeted earlier today (20.02.14): "It's called 'The Brit's' but really we should call it. The American's & a few of their British Friends! Lol! (sic)"
Before adding: "As I took a leak at The Brit's I could hear a chorus of snorting! We have always called the Ad breaks 'the coke run'. It's still the case! (sic)"
