Blake Lively's red carpet glamour is "not representative" of her every day style.
The 28-year-old 'the Shallows' actress has admitted she loves to dress up for star studded events and adorn show stopping garments, but the extravagant gowns she adorns to celebrity bashes is not a true reflection of how she looks in "real life".
Speaking to PEOPLE about her wardrobe choices, the blonde beauty said: "What I look like on a red carpet is not what I look like in real life.
"It's fun to dress up and look good on the red carpet but it's not representative [of everyday]."
And the mother-of-one - who has 18-month-old daughter James Reynolds and is expecting her second child with her husband Ryan Reynolds, 39, - joked a classic denim jacket could be the key to getting away with wearing glamorous evening wear in the day time.
The star previously took to social media with a picture of her sporting a lemon-coloured Jenny Packham chiffon dress, with an embellished bodice, paired with a Madewell jean jacket, which she captioned: "I mean, it's not a gooooown if there's denim over it. Right?!? (sic)."
Meanwhile, Blake has revealed she hired a personal trainer to get back into shape following the birth of her first child.
Speaking previously, she said: "I worked out with an amazing trainer Don Saladino. He kicked my butt. It was also eight months after having a baby so my body was already completely different than what it normally was. Not just aesthetically but also your muscles are different, your body, everything is just shifted and changed."
However, she wouldn't have undergone the intense fitness routine if it wasn't for her forthcoming movie, which she compared to training for a "marathon".
She explained: "It was really crazy. But it was also nice to have that motivation ... I wouldn't have gotten in that kind of shape.
"It was like training for a marathon, but a marathon is one day. This was six weeks straight, six-day weeks, no lunch breaks, thirteen-hour days, four-foot waves at all times."
