Birdman is facing legal action from a Finnish buisness man over his footwear line.
The rapper is in trouble after businessman Jari Kuosma claims he failed to pay royalties for the use of the Birdman trademark on his shoe collection.
Kuosma owns the Birdman trademark for his Nebraska-based company which produces skydiving suits and in 2004 the star signed a licensing agreement with Kuosma's Birdman OY, Inc. to allow him to use the name for his Lugz Birdman shoe range in exchange for 35 per cent of royalties from the line.
The shoes earned Williams over $500,000 (£333,333), and Kuosma - who terminated the agreement in 2007 - was due to receive his cut of the profits in six monthly payments of $36,332 (£24,000).
But in legal papers filed at the District Court of Douglas County, Nebraska on Friday (29May09), Kuosma claims he has yet to receive any of the money from the deal, according to Allhiphop.com.
His attorneys have asked the court to grant a judgment against Williams and his Cash Money records company to cover the owed royalties, "plus interest, costs and fees as allowed by law".
