Gucci is donating three bags to an online-only auction to support Chime For Change.
The upmarket fashion house's products go on sale from September 23 to September 30 at world-renowned auction house, Christie's, in a bid to help raise money for the charity which supports education, health and justice for women.
Christie's vintage couture and accessories specialist, Clare Borthwick, told Vogue magazine: "We are honoured to support Chime For Change, which aims to help improve quality of life for women around the world, by collaborating with Gucci on the sale of these three unique handbags. We are looking forward to receiving bids from all over the world."
The bags due to be auctioned include the New Bamboo Bag, which features a unique bamboo handle; the New Jackie Bag, an update of the Gucci style worn by former US First Lady Jackie Kennedy Onassis; and the Soft Stirrup Bag, which is a more modern version of their 1975 design.
The Chime for Change concert was held in June this year in London where a number of celebrities showed their support to the cause including headliner Beyonce, Ellie Goulding and actress Salma Hayek.
