Keep your clothes protected in the Ashley Williams garment bag

Fashion designer Ashley Williams has teamed up with LG to create a stylish LG Garment Carrier for London Fashion Week.

Fashion lovers can now spread their stylish ways right through to their garment care with a stylish and handy bag you’ll want to flaunt.

A recent survey by LG revealed that on average British adults ruin 1 - 2 pieces of clothing each year whilst doing their laundry; with more than 600,000 people estimated to have spoiled a staggering nine items in just 12 months. With the launch of the bespoke Ashley Williams for LG Garment Carrier, LG hopes to encourage Brits to take more consideration when caring for their couture and promote the value of investing in and maintaining a future-proof wardrobe, over the trend for throw-away fashion.

This is Ashley Williams’ first partnership with LG and the designer comments, "My Spring Summer 15 collection has been inspired by how the East and the West has responded to the 60's and 70's cultural revolutions. As a designer, I'm constantly looking at ways of bringing the past into the present by modernising and re-interpreting fads and trends. Sometimes though, it would be nice to have the original garment still intact."

The Ashley Williams for LG Garment Carrier will be available to buy in September.

Dawn Stockell, LG Head of Brand Marketing, adds: “As LG enters its seventh consecutive season supporting London Fashion Week, we’re encouraging consumers to think about how to properly care for their wardrobes to ensure clothing lasts longer. LG’s unique 6 Motion Direct Drive Washing Machines offer a range of advanced features to allow consumers to care for even their most delicate clothes at home and the unique Ashley Williams for LG Garment Carrier is an extension of this. With sustainable fashion being increasingly important, much like our range of 6 Motion Direct Drive washing machines, we hope consumers will use the garment carrier to prolong the lives of their clothing and benefit from the long term financial and environmental benefits of slower fashion.”

This partnership marks the brand’s return as the Official Garment Care Supplier to London Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2015, for the seventh consecutive season. As part of this collaboration, LG’s Steam Team continues to play a key role during London Fashion Week, working backstage to ensure that all clothes look fresh, sleek and sharp for the runway.
