The 35-year-old singer launched her debut footwear line on Wednesday (08.02.17), and the star has admitted her middle name, her "rock and roll" upbringing, and being surrounded by "a lot of Western cowboys" largely influenced her Spring/Summer 2017 collection.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz about her latest venture and what influenced her designs, the blonde beauty said: "My father was a musician and he was in the Mamas and the Papas for a little bit, and I grew up around creativity, rock and roll. So a lot of my inspiration is from what I saw growing up.
"A lot of the buckles on my shoe are inspired by Phoenix, Arizona, because we have a lot of Western cowboys, so I really tried to tie in my inspiration from growing up with my father, and also what inspired me as a teenager - rebelling.
"Different celebrities; whether they were an actress, whether they were an artist, whether they were a 90s supermodel. I was just really inspired in the 90s, I think I was hitting an age where I was a sponge of what was going on in pop culture. A lot of them were Ani DiFranco, Prince, and then some 90s supermodels like Cindy Crawford and Claudia Schiffer, Drew Barrymore and Alicia Silverstone, Liv Tyler, so it was kind of inspiration that I took on to design the shoe."
And the former The Pussycat Dolls band member - who was part of the group alongside Nicole Scherzinger, Kimberly Wyatt, Jessica Sutta and Melody Thornton - has revealed her range is a "nice balance" between masculine and feminine styles, which she believes will make women feel empowered when they don her creations.
She explained: "There's some heels, there's some boots, there's some flats, and we've tried to pull some inspiration from the 90s and also some shoes that I love and adored.
"I really wanted the shoes to be a nice balance between masculine and feminine, so women feel really kick a*s and empowered, and feminine at the same time."
