Alexa Chung has collaborated with American Express to launch a handbag collection.
The 34-year-old model has teamed up with the financial services company and its Amex Small Business Saturday initiative on a new limited edition accessories range to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the global bank's incentive to promote smaller businesses.
And the brunette beauty, who launched her eponymous label earlier this year, is honoured to have joined forces with the company because she is "aware of how hard" it is to launch your own brand.
Speaking to Vogue Online, the entrepreneur said: "Supporting small independent businesses has always been important to me because it was how I was brought up - shopping at the local Hampshire butcher or the village shop. Now that I'm an adult with a business of my own I am acutely aware of how hard it can be to get something up and running."
Alexa's inspiration for the capsule was to be "fun, timeless, quirky but easy and cool."
She continued: "This is the first bag we have created as a brand and I wanted it to reflect our goals as a company: to make things that are fun, timeless, quirky but easy and cool."
The line includes a gingham canvas bag and features Alexa's signature logo, which is a capital 'A' emblazoned on the front, will retail for £35 when it becomes available on Alexachung.com/amex on Wednesday (15.11.17).
The style icon has revealed she included the print in the design because she thinks it is "classic but fresh".
She said: "The gingham is a colourway we had applied to one of my favourite dresses in our second collection and I love it because it's classic but fresh and the mini sizing is an interesting play with proportion."
